Inaugural Data + Soul Festival

Inaugural Data + Soul Festival

In May, we hosted our very first Data + Soul Festival! The event convened a few dozen professionals curious about data and equity and provided a chance for reflection, connection, and play.

Some things we did:

✅Provided nametags with "Ask me about" rather than "Organization" to inspire deeper human connections

✅ Hosted five activities for learning and fun, which including #legoseriousplay, somatics, poetry, an art wall, and our Data Equity Decks.

✅ Sourced delicious food from Vester Cafe in Kendall Square

Professionals across the social sector, including program staff, evaluators, facilitators, and funders, need spaces for care, community, learning, and fun. It was inspiring to see our peers and colleagues open up throughout the day, shedding layers of professionalism and relaxing into our creative activities.

Check out our reel for photos from the day!

Thanks to everyone who came and contributed to the event! Special thanks to Chantal Hoff for all her hard work making the event happen seamlessly, to Heang Leung Rubin of CHIC Community Engagement Consulting, and Dana Benjamin-Allen of Back of the Napkin Consulting for facilitating two excellent workshops, and to Stacy Wei of SWEI Studio for capturing the magic.
